What do you hear? Watch this 1 minute video and reflect for a moment on the part that hearing plays in YOUR life.
Hearing loss is a significant health issue across Australia. Research shows that the prevalence of hearing loss is 3.6 million people, which equates to 14.5% of the population. This is expected to more than double to 7.8 million by 2060! A staggering 1 in 5 people will have some form of hearing loss by 2060, not only that but the number of cases of hearing loss peaks in the over 60 age range!1
Early detection of hearing loss may not prevent it, but it could help reduce some of its effects. We believe that together, we can make a difference!
We pledge $1 for every hearing check with a new customer in each of our 400 participating clinics or at campaign events. With the money raised a number of selected recipients will be receiving a Give Back gift, that includes new hearing devices, on-going pre and post fitting services, and access to personalised hearing care experts.
We are happy to be giving the gift of better hearing back to people in local communities across Australia. You can help us too, all you need to do is get your hearing tested and bring along your family and friends to test theirs too!
For too many Australians this was a long time ago, if ever! Hearing loss can be so gradual that others may notice the problem before you do. You get your eyes and teeth checked on an annual basis, make a hearing test part of your annual health review too.
